The Hessen Conventions were a treaty signed in New Hessen negotiated between Prime Minister of the Capellan Commonality Seluk Tucas (newly elected by 2358) and the several of the Capellan Zone powers.
Seluk Tucas negotiate a secret treaty with the Tikonov Grand Union, compensating the Grand Union for arbitrating in favor of the Sarna Supremacy when imposing an end to the Grand Union/Supremacy conflict that had begun in 2351.[1]
In accordance with the Hessen Conventions the Grand Union renounced the Acala Pact and Almach Accord in 2363, and with support from the Commonality and the St. Ives Mercantile League launched a combined invasion of the world of Lee, demanding the return of Lee and all of the worlds formerly a part of the Chesterton Province to Capellan control.[2]
