Planetary Info

Imbros III was one of the worlds that was abandoned by the Terran Alliance following the Outer Reaches Rebellion and the Demarcation Declaration of 2242,[2] but would later became one of the worlds within the Lone Star Province of the Terran Hegemony.[7] The world has few mineral resources locked away in its rocky mountains and deserts. During the Amaris Civil War no Rim Worlds Republic troops garrisoned the world. Instead the Rim Worlders forced the Draconis Combine to garrison the world by holding Combine citizens hostage. When General Kerensky counterattacked, the DCMS forces on the world withdrew.[1]

The only thing Imbros III had was its strategic position between the Lyran Commonwealth and Draconis Combine. Over the course of the Succession Wars, Imbros III served as either a raiding target or staging area for countless engagements. During the Fourth Succession War the Commonwealth finally took the world, along with several others, forming the Lyons Thumb. The Combine recaptured the world during the FedCom Civil War.

Planetary History

Early History

Having become independent as a result of the Demarcation Declaration, Imbros III was subsequently added to the resurgent Terran Hegemony; whilst some worlds joined the Hegemony during its early years as a result of diplomatic and trade incentives, many more were conquered in "campaigns of persuasion" launched by Director-General James McKenna, the first of which began in 2316 and ended with the capture of Towne in 2317. Imbros III was one of the worlds added to the Hegemony during or around the time of this first military campaign.[61][2][62]

Fourth Succession War

During the Fourth Succession War the Lyran Commonwealth conquered Imbros III as a part of the final wave of attacks of Operation GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG.[27] The Seventh Regiment of the Twelfth Star Guards captured Imbros III with ease, as the planet lacked any significant 'Mech forces with which to oppose them,[27] although Imbros III was possibly the last of the worlds to be fully occupied by the Lyrans, as maps still recorded it as a Combine holding in January 3029.[63]

Jihad

The Word of Blake used a combination of Blakist forces and mercenaries to attack and conquer Imbross III during the first half of March 3069, incorporating it into the Word of Blake Protectorate.[49] Imbros III was then attacked by Clan Wolf in late January 3077, despite the world not being an objective for Operation SCOUR;[51] although Imbros was finally free, the Coalition forces discovered that most of the world's industry had been destroyed. The relocation directives enacted by the Republic of the Sphere, combined with capital to rebuild the factories helped the planet recover.[1]

Dark Age

Restored in 3133, the planet's HPG station is one of the few working inside the Republic of the Sphere in 3135.[64]
