The Jeanette system was home to at least one habitable planet and as of 3151 was located in the Pesht Military District of the Draconis Combine.[2]

System Description[edit]

Jeanette was located close to the Chupadero and Kabah systems and is Coreward and Spinward from Terra. The system had at least three planets and a recharge station at the Nadir Jump Point.[2][1]

System History[edit]

The Jeanette system was colonized at some time during the reign of the Star League.[3]

Jeanette III, or simple Jeanette, is a remote world whose population ignores most interstellar matters. The world is orbited by two moons: Annaka and Gunma. It is also home to a large Buddhist population that centers on a major temple on the continent of Savoie. The largely peaceful Buddhist population is conflicted between their beliefs and the fact that the on world Jeanette Naval Yards is producing military hardware.[1]

Planetary History[edit]

Clan Invasion[edit]

Jeanette was conquered by Clan Smoke Jaguar in June 3050 during the Third Wave of Operation REVIVAL. The Smoke Jaguars had been informed by ComStar that the planet was undefended but were surprised when the local Com Guard garrison, Divine Light, opened fire on them at the Jeanette HPG Station. The commander of the two Level II units, Precentor Kevin James, was disgusted with ComStar's collusion with these invaders and had chosen this moment to fight back. In response Alpha and Bravo Stars of the First Trinary Battle, Fourth Jaguar Dragoons, engaged and destroyed the Com Guard forces. The incident was temporally a burden for the alliance until Precentor Martial Anastasius Focht issued a personal apology and paid restitution for the damage done.[20]

Jeanette was later taken over by Clan Nova Cat in December 3051 as part of a shuffling of territory between the two Clans. A perfunctory sweep was made by the Alpha Assault Star of the First Nova Cat Guards' First Assault Trinary, but the many small islands which make up the planet prevent any sort of resistance movement from effectively organizing, and the planet was declared free from rebel activity. It was then occupied by a Nova Cat Provisional Garrison Cluster, which often found the paradise around them too perfect to risk ruining it through battle.[21]

Operation BULLDOG[edit]

Jeanette was invaded in the first wave of Operation BULLDOG by the Second Dieron Regulars, House Dai Da Chi, and the Crater Cobras. The defending Nova Cat Lancers followed the way of their Khans, and after a short time as bondsmen, fought alongside the Star League Defense Force against Clan Smoke Jaguar.[37]
