Jessie Pedroza was a Marshal with the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns.

History

Jessie Pedroza was Marshal of the Third Crucis Lancers during the final years of the Third Succession War.

The Third Lancers would take part in the Fourth Succession War when the combined Crucis Lancers RCTs attacked Tikonov from their jumping-off point of Mira during the second wave of Operation RAT, the first time in the Lancers history that all eight RCTs attacked a single world. The Third was tapped to capture the northern port city of New Moscow on the continent of Ufa. A massive assault spearheaded by a regiment of hovertanks and infantry on hovercraft allowed the Third to overwhelm the defending First Chesterton Voltigeurs battle group.

After securing Tikonov, Pedroza and the Third moved on to attack Tigress with the Second Crucis Lancers. An important prize of Operation RAT's third wave, the so-called Laurel's World was defended by the fanatical Warrior House Hiritsu, elements of Kerr's Intruders and the native all-female Laurel's Legion. The Third's attack against the Four Cities bogged down in the Granite Field Mountains as House Hiritsu made use of the terrain for their 'Mechs to launch numerous hit-and-run strikes aided by hidden suicide infantry units. A botched attempt at a coordinated strike from the south with the northern-situated Second Lancers failed dismally, and when the Third pulled back to rest and regroup their command staff came under surprise attack by House Hiritsu and the Laurel's Legion. Knocked unconscious by the nearby blast of an autocannon, the possible death of Jessie Pedroza would have doomed the Third, but the valiant sacrifice of a company of Second Galax Armor Regiment hovertanks bought time for a heavy battalion of 'Mechs to arrive and evacuate the injured Marshal, prompting the bulk of the Liao forces to opt to retreat off-world.

Recovering, Jessie Pedroza would still hold command of the Third Crucis Lancers when they took part in the Battle of Kawich, one of the sites of Operation AMBUSH in 3029. With their assigned supply depots coming under attack by the remains of Trimaldi's Secutors and Laurel's Legion, the Third assumed they would face a fanatical assault to match that of House Hiritsu. In truth—with the two companies of the Legion being effectively kidnapped at gunpoint by Hiritsu troops while the rest of their unit had surrendered back on Tigress—when tensions exploded between the loyal Secutors and the rebellious Legion, the Third took advantage of the situation and easily defeated both units. Twenty-one survivors of Laurel's Legion offered their services to the AFFS, with Marshal Pedroza organizing for them to be reunited with their sisters on Tigress after listening to their story, sending their case to New Avalon for review by First Prince Hanse Davion.
