Captain John Charleton was an officer in Wolf's Dragoons, who served as the commander of Charleton's Company ("The Silver Bear") of Able Battalion in Alpha Regiment, as of 3028.[1]
History[edit]
Charleton was reputed to be a workaholic who lived for his company and his 'Mech. He became even more withdrawn and sometimes depressed after his second wife divorced him in 3024.
Hesperus II[edit]
Charleton, already a captain in command of the Silver Bears, participated in the Dragoons' deep penetration raid on Hesperus II in 3019 while under Marik employ.[2]
Quentin[edit]
In June 3023, while the Dragoons under contract with the Draconis Combine, Charleton's Company participated in the Dragoons' raid on the Federated Suns industrial world of Quentin IV.[3]
Misery[edit]
Charleton led his company during the Battle of Misery, and died with the all the rest of his lance.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Charleton was known to pilot an Quickdraw BattleMech, which he called "Reverend Bob," and painted dark green. This 'Mech survived Charleton's death on Misery, and was salvaged by the Dragoons, perhaps due to the exceptional care he provided it during his life.[1]
