Planetary Info

Keystone has two continents named Gilbratar and Rosetta. The capital city, Darras is located on Rosseta.[2]

The planet is a harsh world that was initially settled for its supply of minerals and other raw metals. The presence of these materials more than made up for the thin atmosphere and poisonous soil. By 3067 most of the raw materials were exhausted, but the extensive factories on the world remained. These factories were the cause of Keystone's final environmental collapse. Poisons float freely through the air and fill the soil.[1]

All buildings on Keystone possess high power air filtration units that remove the poisons. This cleaned air is then used by the population, but remains very thin, requiring the population to use breathing masks and environmental suits. Other environmental hazards include very sharp rock formations all over the planet, which require armoring the enviro suits. Though the world is nominally self-sufficient thanks to hydroponic gardens, most of Keystone's food supply is imported.[1]

Most of the factories maintain at least one area that is pressurized to Terran-normal. The smaller factories usually have a single dome, and rely on staff members who are used to the thin air. The Earthwerks facility on the planet is the exception: The entire facility has been brought together under one dome and it is pressurized to Terran-normal standards.[1]
