History
LIX Corps was part of the SLDF's Twentieth Army. Prior to 2765 it was stationed to cover the strip of Rim Worlds Republic systems that wrapped around the Lyran Commonwealth. As part of Twentieth Army's repositioning, however, the Corps moved its headquarters and operations inside the Commonwealth's borders. Despite this, the units of LIX Corps still covered the Rim Worlds systems, protecting them from bandits and pirates.
The Corps had ten independent regiments, and used them as scouting forces. The unit's headquarters were established on Australia, but Major General Chou considered this a temporary arrangement.[1]
