Planetary Information

An arid world, Loyalty has three major continents, Johannson, Luxemberg, and Pordogia. The planetary capital city was established on Johannson, although by the thirty-first century the most heavily populated continent was Luxemberg.[1]

Planetary History

Loyalty was attacked by commandos from the Principality of Regulus during the Jihad; the commandos struck on the 6th of September 3076, targeting the SelaSys Incorporated shipyards; not only were the shipyards damaged, but the commandos were able to destroy the new Venturer-class light cruiser under development and construction which was moored nearby.[26][27]

While the Selasys shipyards - known as the Fidelity Space complex.[1] - took significant damage during the Jihad, the other major defense company facility in the Loyalty system, the Kallon Industries plant, escaped the Jihad intact.[28] Located at the nadir jump point, the Fidelity Space complex had grown prior to the Jihad, to the point that it nearly rivalled the famed Galax megaplex located in the Federated Suns, but the damage inflicted caused by repeated raids during the Jihad reduced the appeal of the facility. Despite the damage taken the complex continued to produce JumpShips - specifically, Tramp and Star Lord-class JumpShips. In addition to the Fidelity Space complex the nadir jump point was also home to Kallon's production facilities and to a number of space habitats. With the bulk of the planetary population living on Luxemberg by this point, the planetary militia was also based on that same continent, operating out of Bonne Temps.[1]

Loyalty was the location of the operations center for Interstellar Expeditions (IE) activities in the Free Worlds League region of space, but the IE facilities on the planet shut down almost completely in the wake of the dissolution of the League during the closing stages of the Jihad. The facility reopened after agreements were reached between the four major powers in the former Free Worlds region and IE that allowed IE to continue operating across borders under the same contracts and mandates that had been in place under the previous government.[29]
