Michael Cannello was an aerospace fighter pilot in the Second Company, Third Aerospace Wing during the Battle of Luthien in 3052.[1][2]
History[edit]
Michael Cannello defended Luthien against the Clan Smoke Jaguar and Clan Nova Cat invaders. There he was engaged with elements of the Third Nova Cat Aerospace Cluster on the Clan's initial approach to the planet. During the battle, he and Mir Imus noticed a heavily damaged Nova Cat Jagatai fighter. Opening communications with the fighter, they gave the pilot, Star Captain Yehud, the option of landing at their base on the moon of Tsu Shima or being destroyed. Yehud agreed to surrender and fell into formation with Michael and Mir. Yehud would become the first prisoner taken in the Battle of Luthien.[1][2]
The Gunji-no-Kanrei, Theodore Kurita, personally decorated Michael Cannello and Mir Imus for their actions.[2]
