The Ponsatrain was a merchant DropShip of unknown class as of 3077.[1]

Owned and operated by Captain Harry Chevalle, the Ponsatrain was used as an independent merchant vessel, servicing worlds including Halloran V. It was thus in the Halloran system on 27 February 3077, when the Capellan Confederation WarShip CCS Franco Martell was destroyed by a Word of Blake controlled Space Defense System.
The Ponsatrain was however not damaged during this battle, and by 18 March 3077, it had travelled to the New Avalon system where its Captain Chevalle gave an interview to the Federated Suns News Service (FSNS) regarding what he had witnessed of the loss of the CCS Franco Martell.[1]
