Protonaria

Protonaria are multicelled organisms native to Gambier. They possess unique capabilities of being able to co-opt genetic materials they ingested. This allowed them alter themselves to survive in virtually any environment. This allowed them to produce chloroplasts or alter to consume scavenger bacteria as needed. In the 3020s they became a novelty item throughout the Inner Sphere. In the early days of the Clan Invasion, the existence of analogous beings that consumed the SLDF-in-Exile was put forth as a theory for the Clans.
