Rebecca Kemper was the wife of Craig Steiner, the eighth Archon of the Lyran Commonwealth.[2]
History[edit]
An economist by training, Kemper assisted her husband to restructure the Lyran Commonwealth's banking system, to enable easier access to business loans by the private sector. While this reform greatly assisted larger business, it backfired for many smaller businesses, which were taken over by larger conglomerates. The Archon therefore froze the reform for a year in 2537, before modify the lending regime, and reimplementing in the following year. This revised system was much more effective, prompting an economic boom in the Commonwealth for the next 20 years.
While Kemper never provided Craig Steiner an heir, he refused to divorce her in order to father a child with a new spouse, and instead appointed his relative Tracial Steiner as his successor.[2]
