Reo Jones was born on Mizar[1] and had tried to become a Knight of the Republic. He had been a Knight-Errant candidate on his homeworld, just after Gray Monday, when mercenaries attempted to seize a small armaments factory. Jones was to defend the pass they would have to use to reach the factory, but failed and the factory was looted then burned. The resulting explosion sent fire raging through the nearby town, killing hundreds. He was found after the mercenaries left, his 'Mech undamaged. He was convicted of dereliction of duty, his name was removed from consideration for Knighthood, and he was officially dismissed from the program.[2] His own parents had died in the attack.[3]
After leaving, he turned to the seedier side of the Inner Sphere and he has been known to show up on Republic radar now and again. Unknown to the Knights was that Jones is a Ghost Knight. His current location is unknown, though by 3135 he left a recent assignment on planet Wyatt where he had been infiltrating Jacob Bannson's mercenaries.[2] There he confirmed Knight Alexi Holt's assessment on Tucker Harwell work on repairing the HPG network and ComStar's new defending forces.[3]
On 22 February 3135, he informed his superiors that he had gotten a message from Tucker Harwell in a way telling him he was well, and confirmed that his superior had made finding Harwell a priority.[4]
His whereabouts after Wyatt are unknown.

He pilots a THR-V1-H Thor he calls Tremor.[2] From the looks of the 'Mech, it is Alternate Configuration B.[citation needed]
