Terence Moffat was a naval officer in the Clan Steel Viper touman during the mid-thirty-first century.

From at least 3058[1] to 3067 Terence Moffat was a Star Commodore and the commanding officer of Clan Steel Viper's Naval Reserve.[2] He commanded from the Congress-class Frigate Snake Leader in 3058.[1]
During the Wars of Reaving Moffat held command of a joint Steel Viper and Star Adder naval task force dispatched to intercept a large Snow Raven convoy leaving the Clan Homeworlds for the Outworlds Alliance. Anticipating that the Ravens would visit Ghent en route, Moffat led his fleet to that system and jumped in on July 29, 3072, with the Viper elements of his force. Addressing the assembled Raven convoy, Moffat declared a Trial of Possession for the entire Raven fleet, bidding all of his forces - including (unbeknownst to the Ravens) the Adder naval Star that awaited his signal to join in.[3]
His opponent, Star Admiral Anta McKenna, accepted his bid and likewise included all of her forces in the coming Trial. The Viper battleship CSV Perigard Zalman soon dominated the engagement zone, destroying any Raven or Diamond Shark DropShips and JumpShips within range of its batteries. After pelting the Perigard Zalman from long range and crippling the CSV Serpentes, the Ravens mounted an assault on the Zalman, intending to finish her off, only for the rest of Moffat's plan to unfold: the Star Adders then jumped in and aided the Vipers in crushing the Raven fleet. With this victory, Moffat had captured fifty JumpShips and almost eighty cargo DropShips in addition to the hulks of the defeated Raven WarShips.[3]
Two and a half years later Moffat participated in Clan Steel Viper's assault against the Society's stronghold on Tamaron. In early December 3074 he oversaw the approach to the planet, using the Zalman's firepower to blast a path through the Coyote naval defenses and SDS network. But as ilKhan Brett Andrews and the Viper DropShips began their landing, the CCS Ancestral Home tore the Perigard Zalman in half by detonating its K-F drive.[4]
