Tristan Fletcher was a trueborn warrior of Clan Hell's Horses who was Galaxy Commander of Fire Horse Galaxy in 3135.[2]
History[edit]
In charge of Fire Horse Galaxy, Fletcher was impressed by young warrior Fulk Lassenerra and made Lassenerra his aide. Fletcher and Lassenerra both traveled on the Congress-class frigate CHH Bucephalus to Skye in 3135, where Fletcher challenged Galaxy Commander Malvina Hazen of Clan Jade Falcon to a Trial of Possession for the use of the Mongol Doctrine,[2] which was a tactical doctrine which had originated with Clan Hell's Horses as a concept for the use of light cavalry assets. Hazen had re-interpreted the Mongol Doctrine, eschewing the use of light cavalry and instead turning it into a policy of extreme and ostentatious brutality against defeated enemies, to cow others into submission.[3]
Fletcher claimed that Hazen had misappropriated the Mongol Doctrine, and he wished to return it to its rightful practitioners in the Hell's Horses. Hazen accepted, and the two fought in identical Scimitar Mk.II tanks.[4] Hazen defeated Fletcher by disabling both his tank and her own, before killing him on foot with a sword.[5] With Fletcher's death, Hazen would go on to win the loyalty of Fire Horse Galaxy and elements of the Horses' Beta Galaxy, as they came to believe in her re-interpretation of the Mongol Doctrine.[6]
