Description

The Vampyr was created by Bristol SalvageWorks of the Magistracy of Canopus. The quadruped IndustrialMech is arguably a mere variant of its predecessor, the SC-V Scavenger.[2][3]

It is used by the Magistracy Armed Forces's Canopian Salvage Corps with the intent of re-constituting 'Mech weaponry, armor plating, electronics, and liquid coolant from wrecked BattleMechs. Vampyr crews are often required to break down potential salvage and place them into one of the many on board cargo bays.[2]

Since joining the Trinity Alliance, Bristol SalvageWorks has improved the Vampyr's capacities with the inclusion of new technologies.[2]

Weapons and Equipment

The vehicle's principle equipment is its Industrial TSM, which allows the 80 ton machine to haul more salvage than normal vehicles. It has a Liquid Sprayer to either pump fluids into its tanks, or to cool off friendly BattleMechs. The Nissan 320 Rated Fuel Cell engine has been given extended range by including a 3 ton extra fuel tank. To protect the 'Mech's hull, it has been given seven tons of Industrial Armor. In addition to its armor protection, the entire design has been sealed against hostile environments.[2]

Cargo

The vehicle is equipped with two two-ton liquid cargo bays, for storage of coolant or retrievable liquid salvage and with eight one-ton cargo bays for storage purposes.[2]
