Yori Kurita at age of 42

Yori Kurita (b. 3113[1] - d. 3???) is the great-granddaughter of Theodore Kurita's illegitimate son Franklin Sakamoto[1] yet at the time of her ascension to the throne of the Draconis Combine Yori is the only heir despite her "illegitimate" status upon the assassination of Coordinator Vincent Kurita. [2]

Character History

Born on Isesaki as Yori Sakomoto, she had no idea that she was related at all to the ruling family of the Draconis Combine. That changed shortly after her eleventh birthday when her family was visited by agents of the District Warlord who told the Sakamotos that Yori's father was the only son of Franklin Sakamoto.[1]

Following the new information that the Sakamotos were given, they were relocated to New Samarkand and Yori was to be enrolled as a student at the Galedon Military Academy to train to become a MechWarrior.[1]

When Vincent Kurita was killed along with the rest of his immediate family; Yori was the only choice to ascend the Dragon throne and become the new Coordinator of the Combine. She was able to quickly silence those that doubted her rule, since she came from an illegitimate lineage, by continuing the conquest of worlds that used to belong to the Republic of the Sphere. In addition to the conquest of Republic worlds, her successful invasion of the Federated Suns and the quelling of the rebellion of Clan Nova Cat has cemented her as being the strongest Coordinator in decades.[1]
