History[edit]

Sang-shao Bing Te, serving with the Dynasty Guard, was stationed on Capella in 3085.[1] Sang-shao Bing Te would continue to command the Dynasty Guard as of 3111, leading them during the events of the Capellan Crusades.[2]

Conquering the world of Liao early in the conflict, the Dynasty Guard and Holdfast Guard remained stationed there when the Fifth Hastati Sentinels made planetfall towards the end of 3111. As the Holdfast Guard set up a tenacious defense, the Dynasty Guard sent a small detachment of headhunters to encircle the Fifth Hastati's position. On 8 November, the Dynasty Guard headhunters struck at Sheng Dian Ridge and successfully killed the Hastati's commander Colonel Adam DeSanto and sent the now-leaderless Republic troops into retreat. After two weeks of besieging the attackers, the Dynasty and Holdfast Guard were taken by surprise when Kai Allard-Liao arrived on the planet, took control of the beleaguered Fifth Hastati, and turned a Capellan victory into a standstill.[3]

Bing Te's Dynasty Guard would remain embattled on Liao by 3113 when, in response to the near-collapse of the Crusades, Chancellor Sun-Tzu Liao himself arrived on the world to resupply and reinvigorate his forces. Teaming up with the Chancellor's Red Lancers and Death Commandos, the Dynasty Guard launched a surprise attack on 8 March against the Ninth Hastati Sentinels and a company of elite Amaterasu warriors in the ruins of Chang-an. While the element of surprise lead to early Capellan gains, the Republic's resolve soon hardened, requiring the Chancellor to enact his true plan: a personal combat drop at the controls of his golden Emperor BattleMech. While the Chancellor was soon downed by determined Republic attackers, the apparent death of their lord enraged the Capellan units and enabled them to drive the Republic into a full retreat.[4]

Following the "ascension" of Chancellor Sun-Tzu, the Dynasty Guard began to fight with reckless abandon, engaging the Republic troops for days on end without rest or refit and only breaking contact when their machines became inoperable due to wear. By the end of April, this high-intensity combat rate left the Capellans in an excellent position: the Red Lancers annihilated an entire battalion of Ninth Hastati in the Du-jin Mountains and the Dynasty Guard prepared to conquer HungLi Military Base and the cities of Desu and Duan. Striking HungLi and its defending Ninth Hastati force on 5 May, the Dynasty Guard quickly secured the base along with the coastal cities its other detachments had targeted. However, all of these gains were soon undone with the arrival of Stone's Lament, which linked up with the battered Republic units left on Liao and drove the Capellans all the way back to the ruined city of Chang-an. The Dynasty Guard and Red Lancers prepared to make their final stand before receiving word on 2 June that the Republic's Devlin Stone and now-Chancellor Daoshen Liao had signed an armistice and ended the war, thus sparing both units from destruction.[5]
