Prior to the [[Xin Sheng Campaign]] the Fourteenth was deployed to the [[St. Ives Compact]] as part of the [[SLDF]] peacekeeping mission. They weren't accepted by the local population, but overall the locals did respect the Lyran unit.

In [[3057]] the Fourteenth answered the call from [[Katherine Steiner-Davion]] to return to the [[Lyran Alliance]], feeling this would leave them unprotected in the face of a [[Capellan Confederation|Capellan]] aggression some of the local populace attempted to stop the unit leaving. Firing warning shots over the crowd of protestors forced their dispersal but later drew criticism from [[Duchess]] [[Candace Liao]] resulting in the units commanding officer being relieved of duty.<ref name=FMLAp72/>

During the [[FedCom Civil War]] the Fourteenth Donegal Guards nearly captured [[Victor Steiner-Davion]] on [[Newtown Square]]. Unfortunately they were contained by Allied forces and forced to surrender.
