This category contains novels and novellas set in the [[BattleTech]] universe and published in print or electronic ([[w:EPUB|EPUB]]) format.

For the purpose of this category and in line with the [[w:Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America|Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America]], a piece of narrative fiction is generally considered a "novel" if it has more than 40,000 words and a "novella" if it has between ca. 17,500 and 40,000 words; stories of less than ca. 17,500 words are generally considered "novelettes" or "short stories", and are categorized under [[:Category:Short Stories]]. (see also: [[w:Word count|Word count]]). Novels are typically standalone products, although they may be serialized. 

Some stories may arbitrarily be categorized as both a short story and a novel at once.
