Overview[edit]
Dark Age: LinkNet Articles (3136) was originally a subsection of pages presented on the official website for the MechWarrior: Dark Age (MWDA) game, presented as articles, correspondence and editorials published on a loose affiliation of five HPGs located on Achernar, Gacrux, Hsien, Irian and Kessel attempting to provide some form of news and communication in the wake of the Blackout.
When Topps, Inc. discontinued the MWDA game and took the website down, Catalyst Game Labs began to host the entries, assembled in a downloadable in PDF document initially named Dark Age: LinkNet Articles (3136) (and later, after the main BattleTech website was moved and the download section reworked, simply DA 3136 LinkNet). The 135-page document has no cover, but it contains a "Welcome to Linknet" page, a summary of what LinkNet was, and numerous articles posted on an in-universe weekly schedule.
