Marshal Phillip Rahm was the commander of the Eighth Crucis Lancers, with the Federated Suns, from at least 3145 to 3151.[1][2]

History[edit]

Dark Age[edit]

Rahm, with the Eighth Crucis Lancers, was based on Keytesville as of 3145.[1]

Operation DAWN[edit]

By 3151, during Operation DAWN, Rahm as head of the Eighth Crucis was coordinating a series of mercenary raids against the Draconis Combine within the Dragon's Tongue in order to support the reconquest of New Avalon.[2] These included a botched raid on Sullivan, after the small mercenary unit Scoleri's Sabres convinced Rahm while on Keytesville that they should provide recon for the Acadian Rifles against the defending Eleventh Ghost Regiment. The Sabres however betrayed the Rifles to the Eleventh Ghost, leading to their destruction, with the Ghosts and the Sabres splitting the salvage. While Rahm was willing to write off this incident as the cost of doing business with mercenaries, as Clan Sea Fox had bonded the contract, after they investigated the betrayal, they voided the contract and reimbursed the Federated Suns.[3]

Following this first stage of operations in the Dragon's Tongue, Rahm and the Eighth were themselves deployed, participating in the recapture of Greeley. During this battle, the Eighth's Aerospace Brigade claimed a Combine Mule DropShip as salvage, whose cargo Rahm passed on to other Crucis Lancers Regiments who were still recovering from the Palmyra Disaster.[4]

Divided Loyalties[edit]

Once fighting in the Dragon's Tongue started to wind down, the next challenge Rahm faced was divided loyalties within the Eighth, with different factions expressing support for Erik Sandoval-Groell and Julian Davion. While Rahm sought to emphasize the importance of an apolitical military, neither faction paid him much heed.[4]
