Enhancements Diversified was a Free Worlds League bionics manufacturer.[1]

History[edit]

Enhancements Diversified was a company that provided bionic enhancements to those in need, including patients who required prosthetics to replace missing limbs or digits. Sometime in the first half of the thirty-first century, a fanatical anti-bionic faction, claiming to uphold the ideal purity of the natural, unmodified human form, sent out a manifesto targeting clinics and manufacturing sites that provided bionic enhancements. Knowing local law enforcement would not act without substantiated evidence, the company solicited the services of a mercenary unit to stop the fanatics before they could hit their facilities.[1]

The fanatics gained access to military-grade hardware and prepared to attack a clinic on Sheridan, having no compunction about the wholesale destruction of the surrounding civilian settlement where most residents had some form of bionic enhancement. And on Bedeque, a large anti-bionic militia threatened a clinic which provided assistance to retired military personnel and disabled civilians. In both instances, the mercenaries held them off long enough for local law enforcement to arrive. Enhancements Diversified noted the irony that many of the fanatics were seriously injured during the fighting and would require prosthetics if they ever wished to pilot a BattleMech again.[1]
