Jihad & the Battle for Luthien
On New Year's Day in 3068, the unit fought against Kokuryu-kai-influenced elements of the Second Sword of Light and its mercenary support unit Sathen's Snipers for control of the Imperial Palace. Fighting with place defenders, such as the Otomo and Izanagi Warriors, the unit failed to hold their ground. They were, however, able to provide cover to the fellow loyalist samurai troops during a fighting withdrawal from the palace. Several members of the Guards were noted for their efforts in this action. The unit aligned itself to serve the loyalist / samurai to Coordinator verse major of its parent formation's Kokuryu-kai influence ways.[1]
