Umm... about the name... it looks like misspelled German. Spelled with a "d" it makes no sense, spelled with a "k" instead would make it a german word translating roughly into Holy Cross. The world is in fact named "Heiligen'''k'''reuz" in the German version of the Atlas of the Inner Sphere. I found the name spelled with "d" in the Kurita Housebook, but that may have been a misspelling (it only appears one single time). Anyone got english map material/sources to check if the system is really spelled with a "d"? [[User:Frabby|Frabby]] 07:34, 27 October 2007 (CDT)

Umm... about the name... it looks like misspelled German. Spelled with a "d" it makes no sense, spelled with a "k" instead would make it a german word translating roughly into Holy Cross. The world is in fact named "Heiligenkreuz" in the German version of the Atlas of the Inner Sphere. I found the name spelled with "d" in the Kurita Housebook, but that may have been a misspelling (it only appears one single time). Anyone got english map material/sources to check if the system is really spelled with a "d"? Frabby 07:34, 27 October 2007 (CDT)

Both the Kurita and Steiner 1987 source books show "Heiligendreuz" as the name of the planet. While it may be butchered German, it's apparently correct. Bdevoe 12:39, 27 October 2007 (CDT)
I forgot to mention that if it was corrected in later sources, those canon sources should be used. I know the ISCS used the House books to make the initial version of the database. It's possible that other, later sources made a change (like they did with Menkent and Blue Diamond). Does anyone have another source (the Field Manuals for the houses, say) that provides the information on Heiligendruez/Heiligenkruez? Bdevoe 09:55, 28 October 2007 (CDT)
The most recent maps from ISCS still have it spelled with a "d." Since its now in the Clan Wolf OZ, I don't know if any newer maps have it, but I can check HB:HS. Scaletail 13:37, 28 October 2007 (CDT)

Should a redirect from "Heiligenkreuz" be added? Because a) it appeared as Heiligenkreuz even in English sources and b) everyone who knows German will instantly think that it is a misspelling of Heiligenkreuz.213.203.211.40 04:52, 26 April 2021 (EDT)
