Captain Max Masterson was the commanding officer of the mercenary unit Fire Masters. In August 3019, his unit attacked the General Motors factory complex on Salem. Caught by surprise by concealed turrets and artillery, the Fire Masters were forced to retreat. As the mercenaries broke, Masterson's 'Mech was left badly damaged within turret range, struggling to prop itself up with only one arm.[1]
