Star Captain Edwin Gilmour was the commander of the 312th Assault Trinary ("the Silver Kodiaks"), First Bear Guards Cluster from at least 3049 to 3052.[1][2]
History
During the initial stages of Operation Revival, a Clan Ghost Bear Star Commander named Swahla discovered information in old Star League records that a research facility called Project Achilles was located within the Elysian Fields. After informing his superiors, Edwin Gilmour decided to bid his entire Trinary to take the worlds of the Elysian Fields, which was unopposed since most other Ghost Near commanders saw the pacifistic agriculturists of those worlds as unlikely to provide them with martial honors.
Gilmour's search of the worlds of Mangringaine, Nyserta and Elissa however revealed nothing except a few empty mines. Enraged, Edwin Gilmour challenged Swahla to a Trial of Grievance, killing him. The Bears, ashamed at wasting their efforts on a false lead, abandoned the Elysian Fields shortly afterwards without leaving a garrison.[1]
