History
The 262nd formed a part of LVII Corps, Sixth Army, and in 2764 was stationed in District 2 of the Capellan Confederation Military Region. Following the New Vandenberg Uprising and subsequent Periphery uprising the 262nd was deployed into an undisclosed area of the Periphery.[3]
The 262nd suffered heavy losses in the Periphery in 2765 and the division was disbanded as a result; some elements of the division joined the rebels.[3]
These remaining elements eventually formed the Black Band Legion in 2774[2]
