Vulpes was the code name of a Ministry of Information, Intelligence, and Operations agent.[1]

History[edit]

Sometime in the first part of the thirty-first century, the Federated Suns were making a significant push into Draconis Combine territory. In order to keep them at bay, the Combine hired a mercenary unit to strike the forward operating base of the Blue Star Irregulars on Kentares, who were in the employ of House Davion, in order to force them to withdraw from the front lines and provide the Combine with an opening.[1]

In the aftermath, one of the Draconis Elite Strike Teams learned that a Davion MIIO agent, code name "Vulpes," had fled the base's destruction with critical intel of their on-planet positions and intended maneuvers.[1] The Thirty-sixth Dieron Regulars were sent to eliminate him before he could escape, but the Federated Suns hired their own mercenaries to hold them back and ensure his extraction.[2]

The Combine was able to track him to David, where their hired mercenary unit fought through the Addicks Draconis March Militia and eliminated Vulpes before he could transmit the intel to Davion High Command. Scans of his downed BattleMech showed no digital footprint of any encrypted data remaining, though there may have been other agents carrying backup copies.[1]
