Novastar (sometimes just Nova) was my callsign in the old Kali days. If anyone fought in the old MW2 or Mercs leagues back then let me know! I remember playing NBT, ADL, and a couple earlier ones. Summoners with 3 or 4 mplasers and stuffed with heatsinks for life. Jets for throwing off that lag shooting.

I played for Clan Wolf, Wolves-in-Exile, and briefly ran a Blood Spirits clan. My brother played for Ghost Bear.

The only other guys I remember from those days are Achilles (effin legendary to ~14 year old me), Maud'Dib, Fehyd, RhysWolf, Havoc, Killdare, WC_Stealth, DarkDemon, and my mentor Warg.

One guy actually had a Ghost Bear tattoo.

I fell in love with Mechwarrior 2 in the mid 90s. Those guys told me there were books, and introduced me to the Blood of Kerensky Trilogy. I was hooked.
