Teaming up with its sister unit, the [[11th Ghost]], the command were welcomed as liberators by the local citizens. The AFFS unit used the time to start a counterassault at the position of the 12th Ghost. The unit tried to link up with the other command but failed. The fight in the city cost many civilian lives and saw the destruction of entire streets. The situation turned worse when the second AFFS command enter the fighting to.
