The First Capellan Dragoons are the traditional guardians of the Duke of Kathil. Raised from mercenaries and Capellan defectors, the AFFS has never truly trusted the Dragoons. The Dragoons were sold by the Hasek family early in the thirty-first century, and have been loaned back to the Duke of Kathil for reasons unknown. The regiment was effectively destroyed during the FedCom Civil War.

History
Formation
The First Capellan Dragoons originated from the guards of the Duke of Kathil during the Second Succession War (2830–2864).[1]
In 3009 the regiment was sold to the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns under the condition that the respective Duke of Kathil could buy it back anytime.[1]

Civil War
In 3061 political turmoil was happening on Kathil, as the official military chain of command collided with orders issued directly by Katherine Steiner-Davion. The Eighth FedCom RCT stayed on Kathil with the excuse, that the other defenders were too inexperienced. So, Duke Petyr VanLee called the First Capella Dragoons to counter that argument. The Eighth FedCom RCT didn't dare to disobey direct orders and some of its career-hungry officers opened direct war with the Kathil CMM. Under heavy losses, the Kathil CMM managed to secure a safe landing for the First Capella Dragoons,[2] which wiped out the Eighth FedCom in revenge.[3]
The First was assimilated into the Fifth Davion Guards in May 3064.[4]
