Colonel Barksdale, serving with the First Fusiliers of Oriente, was stationed on Griffith in 3025.[1] Barksdale was considered to be an unusual person with a penchant for unorthodox strategies but, despite this, he worked well with his troops due to his belief that success could only be obtained if he used every soldier and resource under his command.[2]
