Abbeville is a world located near the Federated Suns border with the Periphery. New Kasmi City is Abbeville's planetary capital, and the only concentration of the world's population. Abbeville is known for the frequent rioting between its Hindu and Christian religious sects, due to the main conflict spilling over from the nearby world of Kentwood. There are several small farming towns that dot the planet. Some towns are under quarantine, due to an outbreak of Bowden's M'lady, a bovine (?) disease that attacks bones and muscle tissue. The disease is named after the first dairy cow diagnosed with the illness.
