Although the AAV carried just the one missile system, the weight savings in comparison to the Demolisher allowed the AAV to carry more armor - thirteen and a half tons of heavy ferro-fibrous armor in total - and defensive weapons, a trait that was used to great effect against those used to fighting against the Demolisher.
