Description
The Banzai is a Experimental BattleMech produced by the Draconis Combine's Luthien Armor Works of New Samarkand. This experimental design, utilizes mix of Inner Sphere and Clan technology. It chassis is based on the Daboku or (Mauler) Assault BattleMech. It was first developed in 3076 as large and quick 'Mech, which was designed to be a Close-in brawler.
Only four of the design were produced during the Jihad, with one lost while fighting with the 8th Dieron Regulars. The unit was used in the assault against Word of Blake forces on occupied Prefecture capital of Dieron. The was destroyed after its engine was breached by enemy fire, and its self-destruct booby trap destroyed the surrounding Blakist (and allies) in its wake. The pilot was killed after its Full-Head Ejection System landed roughly.[2]
