History
Beta Newt were one of Clan Steel Vipers training units, led by an experienced Star Colonel. The Newt Trinaries teach the newly graduated warriors to fight as a unit and act as "feeder" units for the front line Galaxies.[1]

As of 3061 the Commanding Officer was Star Colonel Edward Roland.[2]
