Description
The Carbine (also known simply as ConstructionMech) was designed for industrial work such building roads, digging, debris removal and building construction.
The machine unusal design, mech is hunched back with it cockpit mounted front of the main body. Its "arms" hung over the main body for best possible lifting positions for its cargolifter and backhoe.
History
Original CON-1 Carbine came off the Bluth's Little Rock (on Terra's North America continent) 2691. It took over ten years to get the design created by Bluth into production after its legal battle. Once in production, the CON-1 was producted dozen a week.
3028, CON-7 model was introduced timed to the marriage of Melissa Steiner & Hanse Davion so to get attention of all the Great Houses. However, the results of announcement of Fourth Succession War, put slum in sales until after the war ended.
Mech was sold to all through out the Inner Sphere until 3058, when the Word of Blake seized Terra. All sales ceased and all parts for the machine was removed from the market.
However, new CON-7s have appeared in Chaos March that have post-dated 3058.
By 3132, the design was in use through Inner Sphere. When HPG Black Out accrued, many of the designs were converted into makeshift combat mechs.

Thou, not armed, The mech can however be its Cargolifter & Backhoe as melee weaponary.

- CON-8 - The variant has Heavier Industrial Armor, Industrial TSM makes CON-8 have double the lifting power of CON-7. The mech has large fuel tank, however this is does not effect normal game play.[1] BV (1.0) = ?
- ConstructionMech MOD - First seen Dark Age of 3132, Mech has 2.5 tons of standard armor, armed with 2 machine guns with 1 ton ammo and ten tube long range missile launcher with 1 ton.[2] BV (1.0) = 223
