Aegis Division is a small but tenacious mercenary command. For years they fought on the fringes glorious and otherwise, from the Aurigan Crisis to Operation Gotterdammerung. Eventually, however, they wound up accepting a long-term contract with Interstellar Expeditions. Maxwell's timing in accepting that contract could not have been better, as it sent Aegis into the Periphery before the Word of Blake Jihad broke out. They returned to an Inner Sphere they barely recognized.
