History
The Chesterton was a Union-class DropShip that took part in the Federated Suns' ill-fated attack on Highspire in 3071. Arriving in-system on 25 August at a pirate jump point), it deployed a BattleMech company of volunteers under Chesterton Home Guard Captain Henri Arduin on a suicidal diversion raid to cover the insertion of Rabid Foxes special operations forces elsewhere.[1]
Chesterton was explicitly named for the ravaged world of Chesterton, and its mission was as part of a retribution raid in response to the Capellan Confederation's (and specifically, Warrior House Rakshasa's) gruesome attack on the world in early 3071.
