Rear Admiral Chien-wei Lao was the commanding officer of the Star League Defense Force's Third Battlecruiser Division, 201st Line Squadron, Twentieth Fleet as of 2764.[1]

Under Lao's command, the Third Battlecruiser Division was the standout of the 201st Line Squadron, performing best in the exercises held by the Squadron.[1]
