Legate Christine Sandoval was a Republic of the Sphere noblewoman during the Dark Age.[3][4]

Personal Appearance

Christine had dark hair, which she sometime styled into a tight bun.[1]

History

Legate

Planetary Legate of Mara from at least 3130,[3][4] she was still in this role by June 3132, when she provided conditional support to proposals by Senator Kev Rosse to increase the military spending of the Republic. Sandoval however believed increased spending should be focused on upgrading the quality of the Republic Armed Forces, rather than expanding its size.[5]

Battle of Mara

In addition to her duties as Legate, Christine was also House Sandoval's economic liaison with the Republic, only taking a greater military role on Mara following the disorder of the Blackout. By later in 3132 she was engaging in fighting on Mara, helping to defend against raiders near the capital city of Terrace.

Entering into the battle in a HumHov, Christine was shocked to learn the raiders were under the command of her own cousin, the Swordsworn's Erik Sandoval-Groell. A supporter of Devlin Stone's vision, Christine clashed with her cousin's agenda, and temporarily disabled his Centurion BattleMech after sneaking into its cockpit.

Despite threats from Erik to arrest her and take her back to Robinson to be disciplined by more senior members of the Sandoval family, Christine managed to make her way to a Sandoval forestry project and obtain a ForestryMech, which she used to intercept Erik's renewed assault on Terrace and assist the local Republic garrison commander Midora Jiro. Defeating Erik and forcing him to surrender, she took possession of his 'Mech, and sent him back to Robinson together with a message for her family that she would continue to protect Mara unless ordered otherwise by the Duke of Robinson.[1]

Terra

On Terra in May 3135, at an Exarch's Ball held by Jonah Levin, Sandoval attended as the date of Paladin Gareth Sinclair.[2]

BattleMech

Christine was known to have piloted both a ForestryMech, as well as a Centurion BattleMech captured from Erik Sandoval-Groell.[1]
