History[edit]
Early Years[edit]
The unit was founded 3039, as part of the Federated Commonwealth created regional mini-Regimental Combat Teams.[1] The unit was originally known as the Dar-es-Salaam TMM, part of the Tamarind March regional defense force assigned to the Dar-es-Salaam Command.[2]
It became part of Cavanaugh II's three Militia RCT defense force, the Dar-es-Salaam is stationed on its namesake. The unit had not seen much action since its inception. Largely a pro-Loyalist unit by time the Lyran Allance was formed, had drew half its number from its namesake world's population.[3]
FedCom Civil War[edit]
During the FedCom Civil War's Third Wave in July 3064, the militia fought against elements of the Allies' Outland Legion. The Legion forces on Dar-es-Salaam received considerable damaged before being forced to quit the planet while trying to trap Prince Victor Steiner-Davion.[4] The battle with allies had cost the Militia's its commanding officer, Colonel Hubble. He was replaced by the less religiously tolerant Aerospace Wing commander.[5]
Jihad[edit]
The militia found itself on Giausar after the Jihad ended.[6]
