Dicallus is probably best known for the genetically engineered dogs that accompany most of the native inhabitants. These dogs were bred to fight off the native predators of Dicallus, these dogs are vital to a successful life on Dicallus. The native predators are cunning, deadly to humans, and appear in a wide variety. They have also successfully resisted all attempts at eradication, leading to the development of the canine companions.[1]
