Overview
A common improvement to field agents with prosthetic limbs, Concealed Holsters or Cargo Units allowed one to hide an item within the thigh section of a prosthetic leg. Special mechanical fast-draw holsters allowed for an agent to conceal a full-size pistol or short blade. The ability to perform a quick draw on an opponent did require that their clothing be sufficiently modified, but it gave the agent the appearance of being unarmed and the element of surprise. Rather than a special holster assembly the thigh could also be converted into a general storage area, able to contain objects in a space no bigger than half the width and length of the thigh. This could be anything from data disks to explosives.[1]
As with other prosthetic enhancements these were employed only by the intelligence agencies of the Inner Sphere with agents who already had a Type 3 or superior prosthetic leg. The Clans were too philosophically opposed and the Periphery too poor to make use of them beyond rare cases.[2] Among the Manei Domini this upgrade was available to all agents with the necessary prosthetic limb.[3]
