History
A city-sized asteroid struck some point after the year 1130, destroying an environment that may have once been described as a "paradise". As a result of this strike, colonists looking to exploit the petrochemical and mineral resources of this desert world learned to build their colonies underground. Today most of the inhabitants still live underground, traveling between cities by means of a massive network of underground rail lines. The few individuals who do travel on the surface are buffeted by massive sandstorms caused by the world's three moons. Fortunately the capital city, Firstpoint, is protected by a large weatherproof dome.[1]
