Description
The Gallant was originally Word of Blake BattleMech produced in last days of invasion of Terra. The original design was makeshift / last-ditch production of a machine that was produced Moscow's Skobel MechWorks plant. The Gallant was as ad-hoc design, with poor quality and missing parts. Gallant designs and its production line fell into the hands of Devlin Stone and his fellows in his allied coalition. In desperate need for new BattleMechs, kept the 'Mech in production line with better refined to address its quality issues.
In formation of the Republic of the Sphere, the Gallant design specification were exported to the Lyran Commonwealth and Federated Suns as token of thanks for worlds that were given to help form the Republic of the Sphere.[2]
Armaments and Capacities
The Gallant principally armed with two Large Pulse Lasers mounted in place of right arm actuator. In the side torsos, it features a Medium Range Missile Launcher and a Twin-Tube Streak SRM Launcher. Both launchers have been allotted single ton of ammunition placed in their respective side torso location.
For the Gallant's envisioned cavalry role, it was equipped with five Improved Jump Jets. This was seen means handle broken terrain while facing allied coalition on Terra.[3]
Variants
- GLT-8-0 - Produced by the Federated Suns after Jihad, this Experimental variant features pair of Thunderbolt 10 Launchers in place of Large Pulse Lasers. The 'Mechs secondary weapon are exchange for four Medium X-Pulse Laser. The design is based on original Word of Blake base model used fight the Coalition. BV (1.0)=????, BV (2.0) =????[4]
Notes
The original Word of Blake Gallant as of this writing has no stats, the article only suggests of what its weaponry included. Until published source comes out, original machine is not listed due lack of information.[5]
