Third Succession War
During the reign of Archon Katrina Steiner Garrison was the target of a Draconis Combine attack. While the nature of the attacking forces isn't recorded, the attacking force is known to have consisted of some fifteen lances of 'Mechs including lances drawn from among the some of the finest DCMS units. With more important worlds under attack, Archon Steiner was forced to withdraw her defending 'Mech forces to defend higher priority targets, leaving the defense of Garrison to purely infantry forces. Despide the traditional disparity between 'Mechs and infantry in combat, the infantry forces were able to use numbers and the mobility offered by fast-moving Armored Personnel Carriers in combination with the local terrain to defeat and drive off the attacking 'Mech forces.[8]
