Hampton's Hessens

History

HAMPTON’S HESSENS: Started as a social organisation for current and retired military personnel born on New Hessen.
This organisation transformed its self in to a military command and they formed the First New Hessen
Irregulars. After the growth to three regiments they worked many times for the Cappelan Confederation
until they lost 2 regiments in the 4th Succession War. While fearing reprisal from Romano Liao they
make a contract with the Federated Commonwealth. The Hessen refused to fight the Clans and offered
their forces to the plantetary governement. With this decision their rebirth begin.

NEW HESSEN ARMORED SCOUTS:
While not engaged in the Fourth Succession War the Scouts exit. After the war the Unit defended their
homeworld and surrounding system against the Capellan Confederation raid and pirate groups in a contract for FedCom.
And this for the next 20 years. They refused to fight the Clans and continue to protect their homeworld.
Through veterans of the Clan front the ranks grows up to five battalions and the unit were divided in two regiments.

FIRST NEW HESSEN IRREGULARS:
Reinstated in late 3054 from riteried Veterans the unit act as defense force for New Hessen.
The First Irregulars does'nt fight as a cohensive unit until now, but war games at Galatea show
a good promise.

SECOND NEW HESSEN IRREGULARS:
Re-formed in 3066, the Second New Hessen Irregulars being 100% battle ready, but haven't
seen any real combat yet.

Officers

COMMAND
General Kurt Festerling is the overall commander of the Hessens.

OFFICERS
Colonel Fillippe Asaeu will retire in the near future but lacks a competent successor.

Colonel Pat “Ton” Hampton will lead the unit soon, when he is old enough and is well
aware of his responsibility and destiny.

Tactics

The New Hessen Armored Scouts uses complete companies for scout mission.
This gives them numerical superiority and firpower.

The First New Hessen Irregulars will atract the focus of enemy forces to lure
it away from important targets. And will attack then en masse the key
opjectivities before the defenders can regroup.

The Second Irregulars has begin to hone their urban fighting skills.

Composition

FORCES All three regiments reached full strength, but lacks adequat support forces for its sice.

SUPPORT
Tranport: The unit can cover 40% of their transport requierments.
Upgrades: The Hessens are overall 70% upgraded.

New Hessen Armored Scouts (1 Regiment)
The light and medium ’Mechs of the unit are supported through swift heavies.
The unit is 30% upgraded.

New Hessen Star Buccaneers (2 Wings)
The unit is 100% and looking to add a third wing soon.

First New Hessen Irregulars (1 Regiment)
The unit contains two companies of assault ’Mechs, four heavy companies,
and the rest evenly split between medium and lights. The unit is 50% upgraded.

128th New Hessen UDR (1 Regiment)
The regiment provide heavy armor support for the mech units of the brigade

Second New Hessen Irregulars (1 Regiment)
The unit is 60% upraded and fields a mix of heavy and light ’Mechs, with a
few mediums.
