History
IV Corps was part of the Tenth Army in 2765. Prior to 2765 it was primarily focused on defending the Capellan Confederation/Free Worlds League border, but with the unrest in the Periphery it was retraining to act as the Tenth Army's major offensive force against the Magistracy of Canopus. The IV Corps had the highest number of courts-martial and non-judicial punishments of any Corps in the SLDF because Major General Polviander refused to accept unprofessional behavior from any of his troops.[1]
Officers
In 2765 the unit was led by Major General Jorma Polviander. A native of Rasalhague, he instituted a new training and command regimen when he took command in 2762, and many soldiers who didn't perform up to his standards were disciplined or transferred.
